About KERRI

Our Story

Discover Our Journey So Far

At KERRI, we believe every Thoroughbred deserves the opportunity for a safe, meaningful, and fulfilling life beyond the racetrack. Our organization was founded on the belief that aftercare is not simply an option — it is a responsibility.
Through compassionate rehabilitation, thoughtful retraining, and responsible rehoming, we help retired racehorses transition into rewarding second careers and loving forever homes. For those unable to be rehomed, we provide lifelong sanctuary care where they can live with dignity, comfort, and compassion.

Every horse that enters our program has a story, and we are committed to helping write their next chapter with integrity, transparency, and heart. From medical rehabilitation and retraining to adoption support and long-term follow-up, our mission extends far beyond placement — we strive to create lasting partnerships that benefit both horse and rider.
KERRI proudly operates in alignment with recognized industry standards and best practices for equine welfare, rehabilitation, and aftercare. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration within the racing and equestrian communities, we hope to help shape a future where humane aftercare is the standard, not the exception.
